Machine embroidery fonts are digitized alphabets designed specifically for use with embroidery machines.
1 Unlike regular computer fonts, these aren't just images; they're sets of stitch instructions that tell the embroidery machine how to create each letter. They come in various formats (like PES, DST, EMB, etc.) that are readable by embroidery software and machines.
2 When you use an embroidery font, the software translates the letters you type into the specific stitch patterns, allowing you to personalize your projects with text, names, or other lettering. Think of them as specialized fonts that your embroidery machine can "write" with thread.
Depending on the manufacturer, we offer sizes for all people from infants, toddlers, children, teens and adults. Refer to the size chart on the product page and in our help section. If you are in between sizes, we recommend purchasing a size up.
Everyone has different prefrences with regards to fit. For example my husband and two of my sons are true to fit. My middle son is extremely tall and thin. He always either sizes up due to his arm and torso length or go with tall if the brand offers it.
Why do you need to see a picture of my bag before approving the order?Commercial embroidery machines are different from standard sewing machines. To stitch a design, we must be able to "hoop" the item—clamping the fabric tight like a drum skin between two frames. If we cannot securely hoop the specific area you want decorated, we cannot embroider it safely. A photo helps us spot obstructions immediately.
What stops a bag from being embroidered? There are three main "deal-breakers" for bag embroidery:
What if my bag has a lining? If your bag is lined and does not have a "zipper access" (a hidden zipper designed for embroidery access), the back of the embroidery stitching (the bobbin thread and stabilizer) will be visible inside the bag. In some cases, we may have to stitch through the lining, which permanently attaches the lining to the outer shell in that spot.
Can you do anything if the bag can't be hooped?Yes! If direct embroidery isn't possible, we can often create a custom patch. We embroider the design onto high-quality fabric and then heat-press or sew the patch onto your bag. This is a great solution for hard-shell items or difficult-to-reach pockets.
